When it is sprayed, it forms a minutely structured zinc protective layer and prevents rust from forming an iron surface.

Further, when the zinc film is cracked, the zinc and iron conduct and form a battery and prevents rusting by an electrochemical reaction. It can be coated with another paint with excellent overlapping coating properties.
